If you’re reading this, I know you have a big heart.

I know this because you’re here, and we are likely part of the same community. We care for many people and causes, and we feel deeply.

And maybe you’ve experienced a limit to what your heart can hold because of your personal situation and our collective condition; when the pain becomes overwhelming, you check out just to get through the day. This leads to a feeling of numbness, even though you never wanted to harden your heart.

Summertime care is a 3x session bundle for those navigating loss, caregiver burnout, or disconnection. It’s an intentional space to witness, digest, and transform the realities of life, so you can feel resourced, empowered, and calm.

Your heart can be harder to access and tend to because there are not many ways to practice the truth of death and grief in our lives. And it’s not your fault: we don’t have many social practices and cultural norms to be with death and grief, especially as the very systems we live in have their part in hastening death and disconnecting us from life and love. And here’s the good news: It doesn’t have to be that way. You can tend to the part of the garden that you can touch with care and creativity.

Care is a skill you can learn, I promise.

An ethos emerges through practices of care, because care is not abstract. Action, labor, and materiality is central to how we live, maintain life, and die – it’s not about will, but nurturance in a particular situation or environment. You do not will a plant to grow, you provide light, water, soil and the attention it needs to cultivate to its full potential.

Inspired, this summertime care container helps fortify your heart with help from the elemental lessons of this season. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, summer is considered the time when heart energy is most active. But if the heart is off balance, it is difficult to feel, let alone be fully present with joy. When we care for our whole experience, including prioritizing grief, we help give the space, freedom, and joy that the heart needs to thrive.

Through our sessions, we will co-create your personalized toolkit and framework that responds to your specific needs. This care container is meant to inspire connectivity and fulfilment this summer, so you can feel resourced and empowered for the next, darker and colder, seasons to come.

Whether you are navigating illness and the demands of care, grieving someone (or a former or future self), or simply feeling dissociated from yourself or the season, this container is for you.
